Classic 911 Insurance
Discussion
... but not from Bridle. I've been with Bridle for a while now on both cars and they've always been competitive up until the last few months. They were over £700 more expensive on the Cayenne Turbo than Admiral on Comparethemarket and they've now jacked up the renewal on my 911 SC to £400, despite no claims or points in the last year.
Does anyone know of any companies providing good cover for a classic, limited mileage second car?

Try Matt at Henderson Taylor, very good!
Also Classicline often get a mention.
ETA -
I was paying £299 per year on the 964 Turbo inc. trackday cover (not that I tracked it) and my wife added on. I'm 35.
GT3 was £670 without commuting or £820 with it. I'll rarely commute but like to have the option for nice days in the summer, hence I paid the £820.

I had my SC on an agreed valuation of £25k with Carole Nash for circa £250 per year.
Included European repatriation breakdown cover on a car that was garaged over night & mileage limited to 17k miles per annum. 35 years old at the time with 6 years no claims, don't think I had the other half on that one.
The high limited mileage policy was interesting, I limited it to 8k miles at first but thought it might be tight by the time I did a few euro-hoons, so asked what difference it would make to increase it. It didn't make any as long as you limited it & 17k miles was the maximum so I went for that.
Edited to add I also had use of another car & didn't use for commuting.

I use Sureterm for my 930, £140 per year 2000 miles.
Id advise you (poster quoted and OP) to avoid Sureterm at any cost!I have an ongoing issue with Sureterm which would make your hair curl (involving their incompetence and dishonesty).
It will end up with the ombudsman without a doubt, as the insurer (EIG) shirks all responsibility to Sureterm and wont act.
Whatever you do, check the policy carefully. Mine has been with Classicline for years, with what I thought was a classic policy. Having to claim recently, it turns out that the broker isn't always careful about where they put insurance, and mine didn't go to a company that offers classic insurance.
I had to wait three months for approval, pay a double excess not to use the insurer's repair "factory" when using my own repairer was part of the original policy quote, been bombarded with calls threatening my claim if I don't take their "approved" hire car, transport etc. Even though I'm not having a hire car, and drove the Porsche to the repairer myself.
Even the agreed value was an issue, as the insurer had no idea this exisited. To be fair, Classicline did get it through eventually, but don't assume anything and check the small-print very thoroughly.
