It's not from a Porsche indy but looks clean and is in a nicer colour combo than the others for similar money, the mileage does seem low for the age but this could be a good thing, I'm thinking about going to view it next week but wondered if anyone knew the car or has viewed it themselves and has been put off?.

Can't help as don't know the car.
But why would someone take a 911 turbo to an Aston Martin main dealer for a service!? Just bizarre.

I know it did strike me as a little odd, it looks like it might have originally been a Channel Islands car, will give the guy a call and ask about what has been done on the invoices if it doesn't sound ideal I won't view, there are a few around, sadly the other one I like is Silver/Metropole Blue which isn't my favourite combination but I've heard Metropole looks much better in the flesh.

I think this is one of the cars I viewed but with a different garage. A PHer advertised it at a very cheap price about 6 months back with key fobs not working and PCM requiring code, I missed a trick and the car was sold to a dealer.

The story didn't end there though, The car appeared for sale at 2k+ on top so I went to take a look, if it is the same car it was originally registered in Jersey, it had good SH and the interior was mint. The paintwork was not the best with some bird dropping marks burnt into the laquer on the bonnet in several places, there was also a scuff to the rear bumper. The engine/suspension felt tight and overall (cosmetic issues aside) it was a good car. Problem was the clutch was also noticeably slipping and the PCM/key issues had not been dealt with.

If its the same car and assuming the cosmetic issues/PCM/keys and clutch are fixed I wouldn't discount it. If not the price needs to come down. I have photos of it and of the SH if required

Cheers
James

Maybe the Lexus dealer was busy that day.

I had a Polar silver/Metropole Blue turbo and I regret selling it. The interior grew on me to the point where it was the most special I have ever owned.
My next car will be that colour combo again.

It is the same car, infact its the same garage so not sure how I missed that!

Service history is very comprehensive, infact more so than the x50 I ended up going for:

The ad is quite misleading as it states "FULLY LOADED + EVERY OPTIONAL EXTRA" when in actual fact the vast majority of the features listed were standard on that car, and there are very few options ticked.
It's usually a sign that they are struggling to populate a list of features when "Climate Control" and "Air Conditioning" are listed as two seperate line items, and they include "electric windows".

The ad also lists "Hard Back Sports Seats" which it doesn't have.

Thanks very much for the info Jamie, I will call the guy tomorrow to ask about the car, it does seem good value at the age and mileage so Im wondering why it hasnt sold. I dont suppose you could remember if it had its rads etc done in the last few years?, congrats on the Seal Grey X50 by the way, think that would be my perfect 996!!.
The Silver/Metropole one does sound absolutley mint, while it may not be my first colour choice its one I could definatly live with.

No worries Walter, I had a look round the rads and all looked well, judging by the mileage and the fact it was in Jersey for sometime (and the maximum speed limit there is 40!) I got the impression it hadn't spent long at high speed, few stone chips to the front bumper & same went for the rads
