Does anyone on this forum have, or know of anyone, who has a 997 GT3 RS that they are selling or would like to sell? Having owned a 996 turbo for 3 yrs, I sold it a few months back and am now ready for my new toy. I a keen to buy private both to avoid dealer markup and also so that I can meet / talk to the previous owner and understand exactly the history of the car.

I am after an orange or viper green one please. Would be open to other 'original' colour schemes also. Mileage wise I would be looking around the 20k ish as I don't want to pay a low mileage premium as I want to drive this car without worry of putting miles on her.

PM me if you think you have anything that might interest me. Cheers.

Good luck hunting, I'm sure there are some good examples out there. Be aware that a Viper Green model will cost you circa £10k more than an orange one, if you can find one that is...

Looks to be a lovely car but the asking price is top dollar.

From what I can see , that one linked to has both dealer markup & low mileage markup ! Great spec though.

Wow, these really are strong money at the moment.

Not surprised though.

Thanks DAB964RS, however as rightly pointed out, that is overpriced in my opinion, and in factual terms, out of my budget. It is however a very nice car, although I may be partial on non ceramic brakes....

As for comment on "viper green", do please explain, as far as I can see this is the correct term for the colour, however I am guessing you know something I don't?

There must be some private sellers out there?!

It's green or signal green, but viper green sounds better.

Viper green, also known as emerald green and kelly green is paintcode 225. GT3 RS green is 2D8.

Good info regarding the green's! Thanks. I'll bag this one for the next Porsche round in the local pub quiz!

Now, to just sit and wait impatiently for a Orange / '2D8' Green to come available for sale.......

Ade, Ready to speak when you are. However yours may be too low mileage and hence out of my budget. Give me a bell when she is for sale.
