Morning Porsche PHers !
Had my 996 (C2 Manual) a couple of weeks and the upgrade bug has hit early !

Anyone put the kit on that Porsche are doing, it's basically the C2S kit for the Narrow Body cars, drops it by 10mm but you get 4 shockers, 4 springs and the uprated anti roll bars, great vfm

or

Just a set of H&R lowering springs, which i think drop it by 20-30mm

Car's only done 60k so its not as if the suspension is worn out, my reservation about the C2S kit is that it's not going to look low enough ?

Seasons greetings to you all, any experience or views appreciated
Rick

I fitted this kit when I owned a 996 C2. As you say great VFM

It significantly stiffened the ride and decreased roll. It was lowered but certainly not the "slammed" look that some like. Personally I wouldn't have wanted it any lower as there are too many humps around.

Its surprising how sloppy old shock absorbers can become even after 60K miles. I am sure you will notice the difference with a much sharper feel. My impression was that the new shocks/springs took a few 100 miles to bed in and settle. You will also need to have the geo re-set to suit the new ride height, shocks/springs and ARBs

Pugley, thanks for the feedback, hadn't thought about the hump issues; as its my daily driver probably makes the kit the one to go for.

I read on some US sites that the shocks in this kit are identical to the aftermarket Bilsteins? Sounds like a proper bargain.
