Thats surprising,
Considering how much the average family car has increased in price I was "guessing" they would have been circa 45/50K back in 92.
Only surprising if you think plastic and lower quality steel costs more than the old school build quality. There was an influx of bean counters mid 90's at Stuttgart;)Considering how much the average family car has increased in price I was "guessing" they would have been circa 45/50K back in 92.
On a related note, small cars haven't increased much either. My first brand new company car was a Fiesta 1.6L diesel (wasn't I the high flier? I was only 18 though) with a MW/LW radio with 1 speaker. It cost just over £7000 - in 1988!! These days they come with power steering, aircon, bluetooth, airbags, ABS and lots of other stuff - I don't know how much they cost now (a Ka would probably be a better comparison anyway) but I bet it's not too much more.
