I can remember when these were the "Car of the year" ( or something like that )

Would buying this be a good move ? ( or would I be selling the Big Issue by the middle of January ?)

Has anyone got one or have experience of running one ?

If thats as good as it looks and sounds, its an interesting buy.

Very rare and a great piece of history.

Parts for the 928 can be expensive (more than similar parts for 944 for example) and any older car WILL cost money to maintain and keep road worthy over the years, and yes the 928 perhaps more than most.

But knowing that and budgeting for it, if its mechanically sound then it could be an interesting car to own, the 928's dont tend to suffer from rot as much as the other front engined models so if its as good as RPM say it is then why not?

Love it. I remember when the 928 came out and seeing my first one on the road. It made a little 12 year old boy very happy! biggrin

Can't comment on the running costs but have seen that car in the flesh and it is awesome. Owned by a true Porsche nut who has lavished love and attention on it.

Looks nice, the 4.5 engine is also a peach. I have the same model, but light blue metallic (Hellblau) with blue-black pascha.

Mine is also heavily modified to be quicker than many more modern Porsches bandit

That does look very nice. I had a 944 20 years ago and still love the front engined Porsche's of that era
