I've been looking for a Polar silver 993 with black interior for awhile -
there are not too many polar silver 993's kicking around in the C2 manual coupe variant...
several that are around appear to have the marine blue interior-

Could any 993 folk out there tell me - is the marine blue interior seen as a popular
colour to have? or does it make the car harder to sell in the future compared to the black
or marble grey option?
are there so many 993's around with blue interior that it's not an issue for resale?

any input appreciated -

The only thing to really consider when buying a 993 is.....condition, condition, condition....all else is pretty much pointless....but the dark blue ineterior IMO would not be a bad combo with either silver, Polar or Artic but of course again IMO full black leather would be the best option.

You mean midnight blue ?
Marine blue was a 964 color.

polar silver and blue interior is what is meant to be as the polar silver has a hint of blue in it anyway - a fantastic colour combo biggrin

but give up being picky with colours as has been said. It's pretty hard finding a decent 993 in the condition you want without adding colour choice in.

Most of the 993's I've seen with blue interior are listed as marine or metropole interior colour-

Having previously ordered the leather dye for a 993 interior and steering wheel it was indeed listed as Marine Blue.

Personally I'd prefer blue to black with polar silver, but I actually really like the marble leather (with navy carpet mats) that my polar silver 993 C2 manual coupe has.

It's for sale by the way whistle

If you can find a decent Polar Silver C2 manual coupe then I wouldn't worry if the interior was pink with blue spots.

I've had three silver 993's, all with the dark blue interior, which is my preferred colour choice over black. The thing I don't like about the blue interior is the blue steering wheel, but that's easily changed for a black three-spoke.

Blue with Polar Silver is the perfect combination. Black with Arctic works too.

Goose's car looks in amazing condition - and it's underpriced at £20,000. I'd buy that myself if I didn't already have one. That won't hang around.

The simple answer to your question is that is a great and popular combo which if anything will help resale. However, this is small change compared to condition.

Thing is though, nothing of this matters really. A 993 is an emotional purchase and You should buy what you want.

Indeed definitely an emotional purchase......for the same money you spend buying and maitaining a 993 you could by a more modern and arguably better 911.....but that was not the issue for me and I don't regret it for one minute.

Arguably one of the very best NB's is currently for sale, on the QT. It's an arctic silver C4 with black/marble interior with all the toys (hardback seats, hollow-spokes, factory big ovals, etc etc), it's a vario with aircon and a stunning history. Bodywork is spot-on, no rust, genuinly stunning.81k miles, but it has had everything done that needs to be done - new clutch, new suspension, £3k major service this autumn, etc etc.

Don't be put off by C4 over C2, read the reviews, the C4 993 drives like a C2, you can still get it sideways if you want, and in the real world it does give more confidence.

It's my old car, sold to buy a 993 C2S - so I'm not selling it but am happy to put you in touch with the vendor, who is not a car dealer.... (hope this isn't against forum rules!!)

Metropole is a 996 colour, so whilst you probably could do a special order for Marine from a prior colour chart, you wouldn't have been able to get a future colour.

My turbo is Arctic with a Midnight and Marble combo. I think it looks great, and that's coming from someone who had a black interior'd 993 C4 for 9 years.

What colour the interior is really?? Who cares?
Get yourself out there and get the car bought irrespective of the interior leather as long as its got decent history and priced right . Dont worry about re sale and what people on here think; hurry up and buy one and start having some fun

I think it's perhaps slightly misguided to say 'who cares' about the colour....
If you intrinsically do not like it, well, that's that- you don't like it.

I love Jag E Types...but regardless of buying only on 'condition, condition, condition'
I think they look crap in yellow- so why would I buy a yellow one?

That's very true but to be fair your original post didn't say anything about you not liking the blue interior, just that you were concerned about re-sale. The responses have been fairly conclusive about that aspect I think wink

I am biased (C4 owner) but I do agree... I have the car for enjoyable hoons now and again and I really wouldnt notice diminishing of enjoyment on most occasions. I guess if you go on track you might think differently but I cannot bring myself to risk the 993!

Colour - I love polar and the blue interior is not objectionable to my eye. That said, I have SY with a black/yellow interior so I am pretty open on colour schemes!!

Honestly I don't think you can go wrong... once you get on the road, you will forget all about the colour!
