9X6 leak from door area

Apologies if the sight of a savannah beige interior puts anyone off their Shreddies but I have this annoying leak that manifests itself during periods of heavy rain.

What's a bit odd to me is that although there is a small wet patch near the door seal, there is a dry section near the plastic trim piece before we see the thin path where the water is dripping down before collecting in the floor pans.

Any ideas as to where it might be coming from and the solution?

I've noticed it when the car is left parked on my fairly level parking spot but I might try it facing in the opposite direction tonight and see what happens....

P.S. I've heard that door membranes can be a weak link but this door has never been stripped and/or reassembled in 10 years whilst the other door has but isn't leaking!

The door membranes just fail, it doesn't matter that the door has never been stripped. I've had one go on a Boxster and a Cayman.

Any body shop can sort it and the new membranes are only £20 or so as I remember.
