Design-Tek Switchable sports exhaust

One of the silencers (PSE) on my C4S is beginning to rattle. I had the case split by Hayward and Scott and welded up a couple of years ago-so that is out.
I have looked at getting a new PSE silencer but the cost is massive from what I understand.

I don't suppose anybody has any knowledge of these, I have spoken to design 911 who say they should switch from the standard Porsche PSE solenoid so I wouldn't need the supplied remote. This would make sense as I am sure the original is vacuum driven- can anyone confirm?
So has anyone any direct experience of this exhaust and if not what about design tek products? I did read on here recently that someone had a designtek exhaust that wouldn't fit...
