New Porsche Keys
Discussion
it's way to big, no need for a key it's a bit yester year
also cannot see the new style of key lasting 20 years.
even basic 10k cars are keyless now days.
that's the anoying thing about Porsche, dated keys dated PCM units, crap bluetooth, no xenons as standard.
I think it's why I don't buy new, the base car prices are fine, but every car need 15k of options and makes the prices silly.

new key also prone to scuffing at the front end
Yup. I was lent one of the first two 991s from the local OPC last year. I fell over on the ice with keys in hand and made a proper mess of the fake chrome key. They were very good about it, but a proper key would not have suffered in the same way.namyacs said:
Regards keyless entry, for me the uncomfortable aspect is the dummy key in the ignition slot. That could entice a car thief thinking the key is in the ignition. It can be seen quite clearly in my view. Not a good design in that respect.
spectacularly bad implementation .. even a Mini has a neat round button.Pathetic

TBH, it doesn't really bother me what the key looks like so long as it doesn't fall apart like the piece of crap, low quality plastic keys issued with first gen 987s and 997s!
Aren't they just.....and so sensitive, key in pocket, bend over to pick up shopping and the bloody boot or front trunk pops open, mega!!How many times have I come out to the car and found the trunk open!?!?!?!
