Okay, so I'm thinking of getting out of my Cayman and getting in to a 964.

Clearly they'll be plenty of you with 964 experience on here and, whilst I know a little, I'm looking for any advice you might want to offer?

I'm after a standard coupe, what should I be looking for?

Thanks in advance.

A good and mainly original car that has been pampered by its previous owner with proof of major spend in the last few years!

Oh, and rust!!

Say, £20k+

What about the red one at the OPC Leeds. It's done 31k miles and is just shy of £30k.
Presumably it's top notch or they would not retail it.

It looks great doesn't it, I've been looking at it on and off all morning, might be a little too rich for my blood though £££££££

For a 20-odd year old car, you might find it works out cheaper in the long run.........

I went from Boxster S to 964 C2, and totally love it, feels solid and well built, was told last of the proper Porsches before the accountants moved in

Thats a fair point, you'd like to think that if it's being sold by an OPC it'd be sound.

Would be interesting to see what kind of warranty the OPC offer. The ad says 2 year warranty but in view of its age the normal warranty presumably cannot apply.Having serviced it since nearly new they should know the car inside out.
If my recent buying experience is anything to go by they could be open to a reasonable offer.

If you're really keen, take a look at this C2:

http://www.911uk.com/ads_item.php?id=3965

I'll bet, at the price, it won't be available for long.

Really wishing I hadn't opened this thread now! Wonder if they'd take my car and the gf in p/x? :-)

It's been said before, this is useless without pictures to determine the value of the p/x.

Prefereably in full, natural condition and following a thorough servicing. Some pictures of the car would be of interest as well. smile

I'm going in there tomorrow for a tyre swap. You just made and ruined my day. A red 964. Damn you.

Hmm... not sure I can put my hands on pictures, all I can say is one careful owner, fully serviced, no outstanding warranty work, lovely cosmetic condition, fully functioning air bags.

And here's the car...

I'm not a huge fan of Guards Red - but that just looks superb!

Damn! Wish I was still in the market for one. Certainly looks great. I remember when the lad bought it over on 911uk.
