Discussion
Finally I have the Cosworth
1992 Homologation Special.
There will be some more modding to do but next year. got to get my breathing sorted first then its back to big power.
It already has 386mm AP 6 pots on the front. AP 330mm on the rear. Gax Gold coilovers all round. Pro alloy IC, Rad, Turbo Cooler, swirl pots, expansion tank , in fact all the rads and tanks are pro-alloy.
19" Superleggera's and full leather interior.

Ooh look! It's a Ford Escort!
Correct and every one was hand built in Germany by Karmann. A non mass produced car that there are only about 4500 left in the world. Only 2500 homologation specials were ever built. sell a 2002 911 turbo and you might be able to afford one of these with a little bit of change. Not bad after 20 years eh......

I remember a guy I worked beside bought a Sierra Cosworth we were all laughing at him as he said it was specially built its not the same as the run of the mill Sierra's...the thing was it fell to bits and rusted just like the run of the Sierra's.Edited by Sunnysidebb on Sunday 4th November 20:48

I'm still not all the good tbh. Doc says I'm getting enough air at night so that's a good thing. I'm loosing some weight to try and help the one good lung. I might be able to enjoy G force again.

Hi Frank, nice car, but ditch the 19's perhaps ? Replace with a set of 18" Rondels if you can still get them maybe ?1992 Homologation Special.

Water off a duck back, my attitude had changed this year, really didn't things were going to work out for me tbh but that's the worst over.
GT2 is still on the card matey, I'm trying to get the Cosworth integrated into our Wedding hire packages for the Grooms side of things. If it works then I would like a GT2. Money is no problem , enjoying life which is too short is.

Not a bad call tbh. They always handled better on 18's. They handle even better on 16's. But for now the 19's will stay. Real hard driving is now a thing of the past.....for now.lolSunnysidebb said:

Get better soon mate. I'd recommend a set of the OZs they fitted to the Monte limited editions, but you wouldn't get those brakes inside 'em ! !Edited by Slippydiff on Sunday 4th November 21:20
At the moment she has 340 bhp and weights about 1300 kg. If all goes well with me next year Harvey Gibbs will be building me a 540 bhp engine on a T4 Turbo. Thats 415bhp/tonne so will be quite quick.compared to my last Tip 996tt with 650 bhp at about 1600 kg that's 406 bhp/tonne. So it should pull some similar 60-130's and 0-100 times, although top end is only 187 due to gearing and the brick shaped aerodynamics.not sure if I'm doing it yet....will see how i am next year although the budget is in place if I do.
these are the only pics i have Frank of a 5 year love affair.. 1998-2003;

370 bhp/340lbs Audi/Jabbasport 20v 1.8T, JE pistons, Arrow rods, ARP stuff, IHI blower @ 1.4bar, Quaife 6-H box & lsd, Wilwood brakes, Konis etc.. proper Cossie slayer!!
did another a year after the sad sale of the Rallye (due to business commitments)..

corrado, identical engine, inconel manifold & IHI VF34 blower (Jabbasport), bosch motorsport injectors, Pro-Alloy cooler & rad, close ratio (n/a) gearbox @ Peloquinn ATB diff, KW's & AP's etc...
please keep us posted with the cossie progress mate...
