After much searching and deliberation and possibly looking at every 996 for sale in sussex i finally bought my first 911.
Very happy with it, gt3 kit, suspension, exhaust, wheels and brakes on the outside, alcantara headlining, painted seatbacks etc etc all very gt3 esque all apparently fitted as an OPC demonstrator back in 2000. Very, very happy today!

Well played that man. My mate bought one last month, came round and took me out in it.

He is a cruel git, as I am stuck with a company car for now..... My time will come.

Needs pictures on this thread....

A few more of my new pride and joy, was going to take some decent pics at Goodwood this weekend but the torrential rain stopped all that.. frown

Yep, was sailing a little close to the 40th cliche there, got in just under the wire. GT3 badging will come off on the weekend, I feel such a fraud with it on, it's a good enough car as it is without trying to be something it's not.

How about a nice simple 911 badge?
(as fitted to the 996 'Millenium' and 'anniversary' editions)

ha ha, the name your porsche thing is the tackiest thing I've ever seen! I am tempted to put the 911 badge on it, not 100% sure though, opinions please!

It certainly needs a badge of some sort - looks too bare without one.

I'd say '911' would look fine.
