993 Window Lifter.

Good morning all,

My passenger side window stopped working at the weekend. Removal of the door card has revealed that the window lifter needs replaced.

OPC charge £95 for what appears to be a standard metal window lifter. It's the same type as any 911 from 78-98.

Does anyone know where to purchase a good used one or should I just buy from OPC?

If you mean the goldy coloured rail that the window bottom sits in I too would be very interested to hear where to get one as my 3.2 passenger side rail has finally succumbed.

Can you just change that 1 part or is it part of a larger mechanism that must be replaced as one!?

You can buy the rail on its own.

It's 2 pieces of metal which form part of the scissor type arrangement which operates the electric windows.

The rubber part that slots into the rail is only £6.
