As above really.

A Boxster R would really appeal.

I doubt it because if they make the boxster any better it will start to out sell the flagship product 911. Same reason they dont drop a decent powerful engine in the cayman.

You can buy the Sports chassis car

But it's not that kind of car, Leicester OPC say they will never get a sports chassis Boxster in as it will put people off it due to the ride.

I would like to try a sports one though.

You could argue a Cayman R would take more 911 sales than a Boxster R.

Is the Cayman R deemed too stiff for the road, with the S better suited for weekend blasts?

I suspect towards the end of its model life there will be a Spyder and GTS. Seems to be the way Porsche work these days.

Yes, that way they make more money.

GTS tends be be a well specced run-out special.

Good value but potentially a residual disaster for the first buyer.

They could do a hardcore stripped Boxster with the smaller engine though - a Club Sport rather than an R?

R terminology would generally mean a race car which would be good for the GT4 category where Porsche has no presence .
