Here in Canada its getting late, and the winter is predicted to be a bad one. Track days are over, and we had our last run down around Niagara on a glorious day. Soon many of the cars will go into hibernation before the snows arrive. Here are a few pics:

Soon it will be:

Am preparing for the long trek to Arizona with my dogs to get there before the winter socks in on the Texas panhandle and the high plains in New Mexico, so its a sad farewell to the sports cars for the long winter weather.

With about 10,500 lbs total weight its a fairly challenging run if the weather goes sideways. I am a bit worried about the Panhandle this time.. hopefully will be OK.

Well...OH needs the SL there. I also have this new item there which lives there permanently. AZ is more fun off road than on track.

Thanks for sharing. I too am pondering on what to do with my 997 for the winter and storing it away until March is one of the (least preferred) options. frown

I am jealous of all the great cars/places you get to enjoy, don't know why but life in Europe seems more dreary.

The US in particular has simply spectacular natural beauty and much of it is very thinly populated. That being said, I have had some amazing Euro road trips with the GT3s and other cars. Not at all dreary, just utterly different, and there is nowhere you can go for a 190MPH run on a public road over here.

( Well...there is the annual Hwy 50 Nevada run when they close the road).

havent done it myself but i do disagree there. switzerland and italy alone are meant to have awesome roads with amazing views.its just going out to find them.
the usa and canada are beautiful places and the roads are superb compared to englands potholed excuse for roads but you have to bear in mind that usa and canada are massive.for the people there to go to some of the scenic stunning places it can take them days and days just to get to them.if im honest you could do italy quicker than some americans can reach the edges of their own country

You are quite right. I did two driving trips in Europe this year...Sicily to drive the old Targa Florio route, and Ireland to drive the West. Both were a delight. However, there is a special feeling on a road so long and a place so open that you can drive forever. One is not better than the other but they are hugely different.
