Carefully "persuade" the whole gauge out of the dashboard (there's nothing holding it there, it's just a force-fit), the bulbs are a twist fit in the back.

If you've got an OBC you probably have to take the steering wheel off - the extra depth means that you won't clear the back of the wheel. Just a few folk seem to have managed without taking the wheel off, the majority have had to remove it.

And because it has an airbag (if its the original wheel) ....... let the pros do it IMO.

On board computer would be my guess. Post 95 models I believe. (Well my 94 model hasn't got one)

My late 96 doesn't so I guess it's an option, or became one if it wasn't available on early cars.

OBC was a £350 option for most models, except standard for C4S, turbo (it shows boost pressure) and Tip S cars, according to the 1996 price list.

Don't all Tip cars have the OBC in the rev counter? The Tip gear indicator lives in the speedo, taking the place of the trip odometer, so the OBC doubles as the trip meter.

My 964 C2 Tip came with a KPH OBC. I've bought a spare rev counter with MPH OBC - it looks huge sitting on the dining room table!
