A steal indeed, must be one of those ultra rare turbo 'S' cars without the 'S' badge and steel brakes on red 4 pots, who are they trying to mug, it's £27.5K worth..!

It doesn't look like an 's' but has some good options ticked, including X50 by the look of it. I think its the mileage that sets this car apart from the rest, so worth a premium, not 40k though but low to mid thirties is more realistic.
At £27,500 I would be on my way to buy it now.

Whilst I agree it is blatantly not an 'S' and only an X50 Turbo, I think 27.5K is harsh.

I would expect to see around mid-30's from a 12K mile X50 manual that age.

Not an S agreed, but the same as the S with the exception of the front brakes. I would say it is worth the asking price if in tip top condition.

.. a little harsh @ 27.5..?, considering the 2 factory '05-S' cars that have recently gone from the classifieds, 1 @ 38 (RSJ) +1 private @ 35.. and 9E's tuned 03-X50 @ £29.. an 04-X50 low miler, stands @ 30 to get it sold, perhaps the guy who wrote the add doesn't know what he's got.. !

Obviously not an S but it is a well specced car, i'd say it's worth low-mid 30's

Struggling to see your logic - RSJ has an S with nearly 3 times the miles and a tip for under £2K less
A private seller has one for £5K less, but no related info
and 9E and a standard turbo with tip 'box with over 50K miles and dicked about with still for more than you think this is worth?????

I like the precision. £27.5K, definitely not £27 or £28K. Put in an offer then and prepare to be laughed at. Clearly chancing their arm at £40K, but surely worth low-mid £30s if in top condition as stated? Too blinged up for my taste though.

If I was batting around the £40K mark, I think my money would go here

Bit strong on price, but must be one of the nicest spec 996 Turbo's out there!

RSJ had a manual, 05-S up for 38.. it went last week tho'.. I missed it..!
The 9E car is a tuned manual 03-X50 up for 29, it may come for a bit less tho' ah Ken..!.
The other TT-S is a car I would want, a lovely spec, but it's not 43.5 worth to me, knowing the last 2 'S' cars went well under 40..!

Did you see the one above? Looks a beauty to me. Maybe a little room from negotiation??

Guessing you mean this one...

http://www.rsjsportscars.co.uk/used-porsche/porsch...

If that went for 38, then maybe refer it to the seller of the above and see if he will move on price? Even if he went to £40K, surely the carbon bits and 10K miles less must be well worth the extra £2K?

Yes Mr Tickle, she's a beauty, just my spec, if it was seal grey & 38 I would be looking at it out of my office window..!
RSJ wanted 38 for theirs, it may have come for less, I dont know..!

thumbup I have had a large range of colours in the 911, but I think my GT Silver was probably my favourite. Surprisingly different to Artic.

I'm into Seal Grey and 997 Meteor currently, but the GT silver is lovely, and as you say a much nicer colour than arctic..

advertising a 996 turbo as an 'S' when it is not is not a new game.
Good luck to the sellers.

To me, I would not trust them from the off just bc of that.

When it comes to ruffled leather and aerokit, they are both an acquired taste and would be at a discount to a 'normal leather' and 'non-aerokit car'.

Lots of no-no's on that car.

X50 with an aerokit is a must for me. Would not buy a 996 turbo without. Also the combination is much rarer.

each to their own then. I find the styling of the 996 turbo busy enough when 'standard'. The aerokit is trying to hard in my eyes. Overly boy-racer. When it comes to ruffled leather, I am thinking 1980's DFS sofas.

The only thing that should be ruffled is a foot stool... !

Apparently in Germany they sell a lot of two-tone green-red-ruffled leather interior 911's.
Goes well with the beige wood on the dashboard.
