This is a question for the guys that know, will these offer a better option to the STD item, car running circa 600bhp and contemplating more.

Thanks.

Use 997 GT2RS items. Not quite a direct fit, but cheaper and waaaay more efficient tan the standard items.

Thanks for that, any idea how much modification is needed?

I would have a chat with Ken from Nine Excellence, I think he has some good IC alternatives.

Not a huge amount, purely some cutting of the existing plastic I/C ducting.

As above, It's purely a case of trimming back the lip on the top and bottom sections of the ducting until it's flush,I used the Dremel with various cutting and sanding attachments and then re-applied some foam tape around the trimmed edges to help form a seal.

I fitted these 3 1/2 inch I/Cs with custom alloy end tanks (manufactured to form a perfect fit to my Samco hoses) and sourced through Ken @ 9E.

Basic rule is under 650hp run gt2rs otherwise you need 5x14 inch coolers because flow becomes more of the issue than cooling.

Having tested a considerable amount of intercoolers from different manufacturers, the gt2rs ones are the best solution within the confines of power.

A good installation job takes around 5-6 hours if you want to make a decent fit so that you could refit the old ones at a later date if you needed to. Standard hoses need to used. It is not as simple a job as you would imagine if you don't want the intercoolers changing the shape of the sides.
