As I get closer to buy a 996TT I have started to think more about servicing and repairs. Aberdeen has a authorised Porsche dealer but are there any good Indy's around the area? I haven't been able to locate any but there seems to be quite a few Porsche on the road. Hopefully there is and I have just been looking in the wrong places

Cheers

Hello Simon,

There's not really any Porsche Indys as such around, but a few good places that are more than capable of doing routine type Porsche service work etc.
What I'd suggest you do if you can spare the time, is come along to the Lairhillock on Thursday at around 8pm and talk to some of the guys from the Porsche Club. It's a very informal meet and I'm sure you'd be very welcome to join in, lots of good first hand info available from the members, and normally some nice cars to look at.

I'll probably be along myself.

Hi Sandy

Thanks for the reply. Its a shame but i am tied up this Thursday. How often does the club meet? I am pleased to hear there is even a club up here, I guess it goes with my observation that there appears to be no shortage of 911's around.

Cheers

It's the first Thursday of every month Simon, the Porsche Club GB North Scotland branch.
You can easily join even if you don't have a car yet, and get involved in various activities etc.
As I say if you can make it along some time at the Lairhillock you'll get an idea of what it's all about without actually joining.

Cheers, Sandy

Cool I will try and make it along to one of these. I have had some past involvement in car clubs in Australia focused on Muscle cars and always found them a good social experience.
