Anyone had some ghood / bad experiences with streaming their music from an ipod/pad?

I've used the radio frequency adapter and the tape adapter on my previous 996 but have CD only on 997 so not sure if the options are good/bad.

One friend got the whole system ripped out which seems like overkill to me ...

Fortunately my Porsche is a 964, so I just fitted a new head unit with USB MP3 capability.

My BMW E61 was a different matter. The head unit is integrated into the car, along with the nav, AC, OBC, etc. The only viable option was to fit a Dension Gateway, as linked to above. It replaces the CD changer, and allows connection of a USB memory stick (or hard drive) and/or an iPod. Pretty simple to fit, and you control it the same way as the CD changer.
