Hi All,
I've been watching the 997 Turbo prices for a while now to look for my entry point
I saw this listing on flea bay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320984846609?ssPageName=...
Is this not an amazing price for an epic car or have i missed something?

To me cars that old with 60k on need a refresh.
Shocks feel tired after 60k imo as do bush,s etc.
Add in a 60k service tyres, clutch, dampers , disks etc and you could see a 10k bill on it if you want that new tight feel.
I am sure it would drive ok and be fine as is as long as you never try a brand new OPC car.
You will get people saying their 60k mile cars are fine, but owners don,t notice the very slow degrading process over 5 years of use.

Well it's just had tyres all around and a service at opc. So bit knee jerk with your ten grand estimate there.
Get it inspected. On face of it does look good price for sure. Marmite colour so bare that in mind.
Agree you may need to spend money on suspension soon. Who knows may already have had some work done. Hence inspection a must.
Good luck.

Agree. PPI is essential. Only then would you find out just how much of a bargain it is. Get it inspected. On face of it does look good price for sure. Marmite colour so bare that in mind.

Looks to me like the vendor has been offered a lowball trade in (by the OPC that serviced it?) and wants a bit more than that for it.
Looks very good value. Also worth asking the other owners if time permits. Usually you can get a opc or Indy inspection within the week.
If you use opc, you should be able to get a two year warranty for peace of mind
In 2008 I was looking at hocking everything to buy a 2006 turbo like this one ... The price was £90k then ... Eek!
Should only lose around £4-5k pa from now on until it hits £25k then even less.
