I first noticed it a few weeks back, car loaded 3 adults + wine in beaujolais. Fifth gear autoroute about 70mph, then put my foot down and as the turbos spool up the engine revs but does not transfer the speed to the road??? The day was hot 33 degrees and the car loaded. I have tried to replicate it since but nothing. Then yesterday only myself not so hot and third gear, again low speed and put my foot down. The same thing revs rise but doesn't put the traction down, it is like clutch slip because after probably what is half a second delay the acceleration happens and it is all to quick anyway to check to see if the traction control light comes on....

If it is a clutch what kind of money am I looking at? PPI's etc are good but fuel pumps and clutches don't come into this so it was a bit of a surprise. I am already 4k down this year getting it almost perfect, thats a lot for 3500 miles.... I feel like Angela Merkel and the Euro, just constantly pouring money in and not getting anything back.

Sounds very much like a clutch. Haven't had to do one myself but think parts are around £800 and 6 hrs to fit?

I've been quoted between £1400-1600 for a replacement, no problems with mine it's just done 52k so probably due soon and I wanted to know what to expect. Where did you get yours done or £1k?
