Paris Motor show 2012...
Discussion
I'm off to the Paris Motor show later this year and wondered if there was any advice that any regulars can offer?
We'll be driving down in my 991 the day before and have found a suitable hotel with parking not too far away.
I currently have a letter of intent with my local dealer for a Macan for my wife and a 991 Turbo for myself, so am hoping to get a close look at the Macan on the Porsche stand (and the 991 C4S which will presumably also be shown).
It is possible to get access to the Porsche stand or is that likely to only be available for special customers of French dealers etc?
Cheers

The 991 C2S with PDK is so eager to put on speed I'd have thought they'll be opening a special law court just to handle appearances by new Turbo owners. And that's coming from someone whose last car was a 408bhp GTS. The 991 with 2wd puts the power down so effectively and so early in the corners. 550bhp(?) through 4 driven wheels in this chassis will be utterly bonkers. Be afraid!

If it's anything like Geneva you should be fine, have a word with someone on the stand and get yourself invited on. After all, they're there to help sell cars, not put people off buying them Cheers

When I was buying the spyder, I managed to get the dealer to get me an invitation for the Porsche stand at geneva.
Lovely food and drink, and haven from the crowd.
It appeared pretty strict, no invite, no entry.
Just ask the dealer, especially if you are genuine buyer of 2 new cars.
Paris is a big and busy show, take comfy shoes.

Do you have any confirmation from your dealer or other sources that the Macan will definitely be shown at the Paris Motor Show? I have heard some speculation/rumors to this, but have not seen any official word. I am also considering putting down a deposit at my local dealer for one. We'll be driving down in my 991 the day before and have found a suitable hotel with parking not too far away.
