Sport chrono much difference on a 987?
Discussion
Not much of great consequence unless you have pdk. If a manual then..
Gives a more sensitive throttle map when you hit te sport button
This also increases the amount of play before the stability kicks in
If it has pdk then..
It speeds up the gearshift when you press sport
It speeds the shift even more if you hit the sports plus button
If you also have PCM then it can link up to log lap times on the chronograph and display by using gps to trace the lap on the screen and working out when you've completed the lap
All a bit of a gimmick other than the pdk gearshift speed I think.

is that the same on the 981? doesn't the 981 have a "sport" mode without Chrono? and Chrono gives u "sport plus"
Correct. So chrono may be less important on 981 (although on 987 my experience was you really wanted to use sports plus button to get a really good shift so some may feel just having sport button on 981 is not enough and spec chrono to get the plus)Realise I understated importance of chrono on 987 with pdk. I agree with other posters that it is essential in this case
