where do people get tyres for their 997 GT3 gen 2
Discussion
Given the fact that i have Pirelli Corsa Systems and they no longer appear to be available
I dont want cups as i mostly use the car on the road
I need a Porsche approved tyre as i want to maintain the warranty
As far as i know the michelin pilot super sport isnt available yet in an N rating
what a stupid situation for a two year old car .....................

This is not untypical of many high performance cars, maddening lack of supply for the limited number of tyres they approve. Dealers nearly always have "contacts" that can find the tyre in question. If your OPC doesnt then try another local one to you. Will end up paying through the nose though.
Corsas are still around I thought? Problem is they're right and left specific and I found they could supply as many rights as I wanted and didnt have a left in the country AArgh!!!
Try ebay , especially try ebay Germany.
GT3 Gen2 run 305 x 19s dont they?, Bridgestone RE050A is a good road alternative, available and an excellent tyre. Have a look at Tyre-shopper.co.uk

Michelin PS2 and Bridgestone RE050A are your choices then. There are other Pirelli options like Rossos but unless you can get the N1 Corsa Systems I would ignore the brand.I dont want cups as i mostly use the car on the road

I've used Camskill, Event Tyres and Delticom (Mytyres) before without issues to source them over the years.

OPC s can only get one side , looking like MPS2
is that Corsas?OPC s can only get one side , looking like MPS2
Might be worth trying other OPCs.
Seriously - they are good tyres, but availability is woeful and a switch to something else a very sensible option. The availability problem for N rated Corsas is older than the 997.
Just to clarify , it the No directional rears I was after , I wasn't aware there was a later non directional option but either way no one has them .
I am going to wait a couple of months and see if the michellin super sport gets n rated , if not then it a more standard road tyre .....

This is exactly the ones I'm referring to in my earlier post, a matching new pair of directional NOs. They're in storage for me at my OPC but I may not need them now, hence they may be available at their cost price, as I haven't paid for them yet.I am going to wait a couple of months and see if the michellin super sport gets n rated , if not then it a more standard road tyre .....
I'll know in a few weeks whether I'll need them or not.
