What a bar-steward, sorry to see that. No chance of some CCTV covering the street or area?

eek

That's horrible rage Really feel for you. Is there any CCTV in the area you could check? Did anyone see or hear anything?

What a bummer, got to be a lorry surely and maybe the driver didn't notice ?

Just can't believe anyone would do that and drive away knowing what they'd done and the risk of all the CCTV about catching them leaving the scene of an accident.

I saw someone crash into a neighbour's car recently and drive off. The barefaced cheek of it -- he had to back up after scratching down the side of the car because he was stuck so there was no doubt he knew.

Fortunately I was able to furnish the owner with all the details.

I sincerely hope you've been lucky too, these vermin need to get a criminal record for such behaviour. Similar damage but way less serious happened to my turbo and again no sign of the perp.

Seriously? Why on earth not? Insufficient evidence?

I had a similar situation where a van driver hit me head on on a blind bend when he was on the wrong side of the road. He also fled the scene of the accident. Two policemen attended but they did not file a report or take any action against the driver!

A woman reversed into my car and attempted to drive off, only stopping as she noticed I was sat in my car at the time.

She dented and scuffed the paint on my bumper. Oh she was sorry etc however she later said she didn't even touch my car at all and that I was making it all up!

On a major mission I managed to find a local shop which thankfully captured the incident on CCTV. Presented with this evidence her insurance co paid up. However if I hadn't found proof of my version of events then I would have been lumbered with a large bill because of someone elses carelessness and dishonesty.

If someone hits you YOU NEED EVIDENCE even if they admit liabilty at the time.

Only trouble is you would need at least 2, one to point frowards and one to point backwards. Otherwise you know exactly what would happen. And even with 2 what about the git that parks next to you or drags his key down the side?

Thanks for condolences! Repairs estimated at 7.5k plus Vat which doesn't bode well for insurance renewal and car away for two weeks. Quite an unhappy bunny!

That's an expensive front bumper. What else is damaged?
