996 turbo clutch advice
Discussion
Hi all, my 996 turbo X50 requires a clutch. It's been fiddled about with and is putting out about 500 bhp.
Will the standard clutch ( I believe the normal turbo and the X50 use the same part now) be sufficient? I've had the GT2 clutch recommended to me as it's a solid plate, wears better etc. If I go this route, will the clutch be very stiff? I don't want my left leg to start shaking whilst in traffic etc.
The car is my daily driver.

Just fit one of these and be done...

I've had the 740nm version in for around 3 years now which feels pretty much like the stock clutch and is holding up fine. However, it appears that the 740nm disc has now been discontinued leaving only the 890nm. Lots of people using this clutch setup in modified turbos though and would be the way I would go if I ever needed a replacement.

That price sounds about right I paid £800 for the clutch kit which is the Sachs racing clutch same fitment for Turbo and GT2 Euro car parts were the best supplier. I have a workshop I use and they charged £500 to fit together with transmission fluid change and clutch slave cylinder and accumulator.
