Apologies for the boring thread, but my dad has a 996 C4S Cab with memory seats.
They appear to have lost their memory though!
Every time he locks the car then re-opens it they go to a setting basically for a 4 foot 9 short arse, my old man is 6 foot and 18 stone!

Is there anything you can do to re-set this, he has "apparently" read all the instructions etc and it keeps doing it.

Has your Dad changed the key he uses to unlock the car? The system memorises the seat/mirror settings for each key used and these may be different. To reset it, just put the seat where it needs to be, then press and hold the memory seat button for about 5 seconds IIRC.

Ha ha funnily enough i can remember doing that years ago in his brand new 1983 Cortina. Settings were a lever though.
