I think the centre stripe looks good but I don't like the side decals.

The ride height looks strange but it could be the photos.

I know, I'm in Sydney.

Just imported my Cayenne. That looks like I should have imported my 997 !

Really, I am probably the other way around, I might be able to live with the side decals but not the centre stripe.

The standard Porsche models in Aus include many features that are options in other markets so difficult to make a direct comparison of prices. However, even with the 33% luxury car tax (which applies to the value above a certain value threshold around $67,000 I think) plus the 10% GST (VAT) on the lot, the importers / dealers do very well methinks!

We're off to Perth later this year and need to hire a car for two weeks, anything decent is expensive, and Porsches (not that I'd hire one, but just for comparison) are incredibly expensive.

It made me wonder how long the holiday would have to be to make shipping my 996 over and back again cheaper than hiring something interesting for the duration !

That, and the ghastly (ImHo of course) RWB cars are complete eyesores.

To be fair the stripes down the middle are not a million miles away from those on the 4.0 that everyone drools over and quite a few OPC demonstrators have those side decals. Not great in combo but as others have said there is plenty worse than this

You can apply for a Carnet to bring the car in temporarily.

Shipping in its own container would cost about £4k or rollon / rolloff for about £2k

Takes about 2 months
