Can`t see where the £48k has all gone unless the car was an absolute dog to begin with.

If I was in the market for a nice 964, I`d be checking out the JZM one for £11k less.

Noticed it this morning but can't post links on my phone so didn't start a thread.

I'm in no way saying C4s are inferior but, surely you'd start with a C2 if you were planning all that.

Also have you seen the £85k 3.6T in the ads!!
Silly.

Not sure, but the owner was floating around on another forum athough not sure he will say. I would have thought £20K maybe £22k if its SOR.

Quick scan of the classifieds brought up this car.
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/4092268.htm

You could throw £10k at it doing the interior, suspension and still be £15k better off than the car at RPM.

Yep but its a C4 thats £25k cheaper than the RPM car.

A new dash can be had for a few humdred quid. Replace it when you throw £10K at the car.

From the ad it seems he's spent £77k on the car! (unless I'm reading it wrong ...)
You could buy a nice 964RS for that!

I spoke to RPM aboout a red C2 they had for sale that needed an engine rebuild, light paintwork and some interior work and it sold for 22.5k in that condition. Had only done 67k miles but you gonna add probably 8k to that price to have a mint car

From the pics I think he's done with a fabulous job on it and commend him for that. smile I guess sometimes we take the decision to take what we've got and enhance it for our own reasons and satisfaction, rather than sell it and start again. Sometimes better the devil you know and all that. There are a number of other C4s out there that have had similar transformations and a few that are on going at the moment (albeit not in the same league of expenditure as this one). There seems plenty of interest in making sharper, more driver focused C4s. Good on 'em I say. smile

I totted the mods up on that car @ 31k using prices from other respected specialists.

No normal owner typically wants all those mods. So with a base car at 12k for a C4 needing work thats very expensive to an ordinary buyer. A well healed gent might just shell out the 39k.

The guy who built this, put a deposit on my old car and messed me around and then embarked on a project himself.

Nice car but he should have bought mine.

It's addictive once u start adding to these cars it can get outta control. As long as the owner was happy with it good on him. Once my C2 is inspected tomorrow by Peter Morgan I may in time add a few upgrades myself.

As much as I admire the work that has gone in to this C4, there's no contest with the C2 you built. That was/is a cracker. thumbup
