New Addition - 996 C4S
Discussion
I have just added a (possibly temporary) new member of the fleet. I'll run it for the summer and see how I feel about keeping it.
I hadn't planned on buying but I've always liked the 4S and this one came from a good local gent and had a nice life with him so I knew it was a good car.
I needs nothing really but I'll be servicing and MOTing in Sept. The wheels also show signs of age so I'm thinking of refurbing in a different colour.
It got a good clean tonight and will get a full machine polish tomorrow. I'm off to Torridon in it next weekend so will see how it feels.
Only mod I think I'll do is the same one I did for my brother's 996 C4 which is the fitting of a proper short shift. It really does make the gearshift that much better.
Anyway here are some pics.
When I picked it up;

Cleaned;

Best angle;

Not too shabby from here either though;

No room at the Inn;

Found a willing garage for the old goldie for a short time!;
