My Cayman S has the 15 spoke 19" Sport Design alloys which are in need of a bit of TLC. I hope you understand my description.

I went to a local paint shop who claim they can renovate alloys and spray them. If fancy having the inner wheel and spokes spray Basalt Black to match the car and leaving the outer edge of the alloy silver.

The paint shop said that they couldn't do it as it would look odd because the spokes of the wheels "overlap" or sit slightly raised where they meet the lip. They claim that they could spray the wheels black but to get the effect I want, would have to spray the lip of the wheel and the very bottom part of each spoke silver - otherwise it would not look right.

Has anyone else had a 19" Sport Design alloy sprayed and if so - were there problems due to the (inadequate) description I provided and were you pleased with the results ?

Cheers
Steven

I have 19 inch Sport Design wheels with black spokes and silver rims. I bought them with the car though so not sure if it would be an issue to paint as they guys have said? Can't think why though?
