OK i ended up getting the roof mounted bars but without a fitting kit, thinking i'd be able to Jim'll fix it on?

No joy.

Anyone know of some where i'd be able to get a fitting kit? the local Porsche centre said they were discontinued?

I've had the rood bars and ski rack since new. I really should get around to selling these as I haven't used them for years but that's another story!

I Googled the below link - which is still active after 10 years - that shows a guy in Texas who fitted a bike rack to his bars.

Can't you just fabricate some bolts to slide into the track in the cross bar and then you should be able to fit most bike racks???
