Hi Guys,

After some pointers on the mesh grill kits to protect the rads and condensers on a 996 GT2, where can I get them from?

I'm after the black mesh that sits behind the bumper, trying to get a factory look if possible, Rennline looks good but they don't have a version for the GT2.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link, does anyone know of a pre cut kit for the GT2 if I don't go down the halfords route? What mesh did cableguy use?

I bought mine From eBay. Cost about 15-20 quid. Quality black mesh. Not tHe silver in the pic above which personally I don't think suits. Not quite sure why OP determined to get per-cut from what I've heard they don't fit well. Took the mesh I bought to my local indie who cut and fit them. Result = perfect.

From what I remember it was around £100. (90mins labour)

I bought my mesh from Halfords and got my specialist to fit it for me. I think the mesh was less than £30 from memory and my friendly specialist did it whilst doing other work for about £70. Definitely worth doing and looks original.

Black mesh from Halfords £30.

Remove bumper, cut mesh 10mm bigger than holes, bend mesh neatly around around bumper opening. Attach with blobs from hot glue gun inside bumper, or alternatively drill small holes and attach with baby cable ties.

This will also enable proper cleaning of the rads, and if you are really ambitious, idea you can drill a 15mm hole in the bottom of the internal radiator cowling to allow water and debris to drain out the bottom without forming a mini compost heap

Any tips on making sure the grills don't foul the radiator cowls/ elephant ears once the PU/bumper is attached back on?

Looks like the black trim pieces inside the PU slide onto the end of the cowlings, looks quite a tight fight.
