Anyone put coilovers on a 930??
Discussion
ive done it twice. i havent got any pics though. the first time i used 2 and a half inch springs they had to be short to miss the edge of the n/s heat exchanger if i remember correctly the shock body itself just missed, it was very close. the 2nd car had 2 and a quarter inch id springs, id do it that way. it sounds like its only a quarter of a inch different but the outside diameter of the springs was quite a bit more. everyone will recommend different springs but i had 800lb for the road which gave good traction/wasnt to bad on the bumps either. i used 550lb springs on the 2nd car that was used for drag racing and we found the back really squatting helped with the launch. i suppose it depends on what you will use it for? id go for adjustable shocks for bump and rebound as this helps greatly with setting the car how you want it which really matters, you dont want to spend a load of cash and think that drives terrible! again many will recommend different shocks, if your budget stretches to it ohlins do some great 2 and 3 way units and have great customer after service in my experience. toby at aurok is the uk dealer, if you google there details i havent got them to hand. sorry for rambling hope this helps
