So just a few weeks after a track day the brakes starting squeaking out of control. Pads were glazed. Should this be covered under warranty? End of the day if the pads cannot take a bit of heat they should not be on this car.
I had the same issue a few years ago - not covered.'07 997 Turbo. 17k miles on it. Had the odd squeak before once a month maybe but a few weeks after the track day it went mental! Got mega squeak at any speed at all times once the pads were a bit warm. Car not driveable.
Dropped off at OPC Guildford and they said the pads were glazed. Tested today and all ok. But this is still not acceptable for a £20,000 brake package. And glaze has nothing to do with wear and tear.

17K miles is nothing for PCCB`s unless you compete in the Cup challenge every weekend !Dropped off at OPC Guildford and they said the pads were glazed. Tested today and all ok. But this is still not acceptable for a £20,000 brake package. And glaze has nothing to do with wear and tear.
All you can do is drive it and see if it comes back with normal driving. If it does then I would be looking for new pads at a minimum and if that doesnt solve it then new rotors aswell - which I`m sure the OPC will be well chuffed with ! I take it your under OPC warranty ?

PCCB's? They'll be fine after a bit of normal road use. Squeal is par for the course for PCCB's after a spirited run.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
