997 GT3's with 60k+ miles, how much in a year or two?
Discussion
Hi there
Well it's no guesses but my next car shall no doubt be a GT3 997.1 in a year or two, or maybe stretch to a 997.2 GT3 if they hit circa 45-50k.
By then we may be seeing the odd GT3 997.1 with 60k+ miles for sale.
Question is what price do people think they shall go for with such mileage in a year or two's time?
Could they depreciate loads like say down to 30-35k for a 60k+ miles 997.1 GT3 in a couple of years and the 997.2 GT3 will be the one to hold value better? Maybe 50k plus for mid-high miles 997.2 GT3?
Or will most simply not want to buy a high miles GT3 for fear it may just blow up, causing them to go for silly money? Is Porsche extended warranty available upto 100k miles?

Not £30-35K IMHO... My estimate isQuestion is what price do people think they shall go for with such mileage in a year or two's time?

1 year from now with 60K for 07 GT3.1... £44K
1 year from now with 60K for 07 GT3.1... £40-42K
And, yes, 50K for 997.2 in 2 years (hopefully).
These are not wild guesses, but based on fact a very nice looking 997.1 GT3 is currently for sale for 48K with just under 50K on the clock...

They will always sell, engine is more robust than non GT engined cars. And 911v sold a 150K+ mileage 996GT3 last year, so they do last well.OPC warranty is available up to 10 years old and 125K miles.
With the greatest respect to everybody who's answered so far. There's simply no way of knowing where GT3 prices will be in 2 years. If markets in general, continue as they are then some of the speculation above is possible but...
The macro-economic picture is pretty bleak and if the sovereign debt crisis isn't resolved in a favourable manner, the price of GT3s will be neither here nor there. Nobody is going to be interested, primary concern will be food! Just watch the news and look at what's happening in Greece. Middle class families running for free food deliveries!
From a purely economic standpoint if the market improves, companies will start to spend money, increase wages, so prices in general could rise. If the new 991 GT3 is PDK only, then it is conceivable that last gen GT3's go up in price from current levels, dragging up the rest of the market. As always supply and demand will continue to drive prices - scarcity alone is no guarantee of increases in prices, the demand needs to be there. If everybody decides that they want a GT3 prices wil firm up and then increase, if nobody wants one, prices will fall - simples
