Does anyone know this car. I don't understand the 911 on the back. The new version of lights as well, why would you do that?

The 911 on the back is a factory option.

Agreed with the lights....don't make it look newer to those that know. And aren't going to either to those that don't..

OK so 911 on the boot option should be listed on bonnet sticker?

The 911 I like better than the norm.

It is a 997 that is falling into my price bracket and with a reputable dealer. I was just concerned that new lights different boot decals cheap price - possible issues maybe rear end shunt sometime in life.

I don't think JZM would sell a car that has had a rear end shunt! You do know it's a tiptronic don't you?

Porsche stopped putting the Options Sticker on the inside of the boot lid with the 997 but it is still in the Service Book, if it's the original.

As for the 911 badge on the rear, it can be specified when new as an option, as can sports tail pipes on a C2, but they can also be purchased after and then simply replace the Carrera or CarreraS badges, some people prefer the look; I actually prefer the rear boot lid with no badges at all.

The rear lights could simply have been installed to freshen up the car and does'nt necessarily mean it's had a rear end shunt.

If interested, why not go and inspect the car and ask the right questions.

Good Luck.
