Yeah easy to forget ... In real life they look amazing. I almost bought one a while back, completely fell for it.

Its till a great shape. My dads mate had one when I was a youngster, I was in awe of it.

Find myself peeping into the classifiends too every now and again, but I think the gremlins put me off.

superb looking car and gts top of the pile - 17k is a whole heap of beans though! I've always hankered after one, but I imagine the running costs could be awe-inspiring, but then I own a 930 and so I'd be used to that!

Oh yes I love these cars! Front engined Porsche handling is just something else even if everyone doesn't agree on the appearance. If a manual GTS with good mileage and in black turned up, I'd be very tempted. Think the GT is quicker than an auto GTS. Proper V8 muscle car! There is a 6.5L conversion and a very cool YouTube rolling road vid of a white one!

Hang on - I thought that the point of the GTS was that most of them were Manuals??? 928 Beards please explain...

GT are all manuals. GT can be had comfortably under £10K.
Some S4 manuals and some GTS manuals but not many.
H+H auctions have just sold a manual GTS for 13.5 ish. Wasn't in bad shape I don't think.

There is a 928GTS auto at Portiacraft that has had a couple of grand knocked off the asking price over the last few weeks. Looks tidy but I know nothing about them as to what to look for.

Great cars. Raced a manual 928GTS a few times. Should and would look better on Cup 1's as per the Portiacraft car.
