Felt slower and a bit tame
Discussion
Well I sold my much loved Tvr t350 that I had for over 4 glorious years,
It had the Tvr power 4.3 engine engine in it so it was a raw and quick.
I decided to buy a 996 turbo as it had 4 seats as we now have a little one.
When I first drove it it felt slower and a bit tame compared to the Tvr so I started reading up on the huge tuning potential of the turbo
First I bought a pipercross panel filter and then I managed to get some hi flow header and fitted them (pig of a job !!!) then I modded the oem exhaust
Then I started looking into remaps, I spoke to various company's and the prices really varied, eventually I settled for Regal Autosport in Southampton
They have the benefit of a rolling road dyno so you get a before and after Print out and a no bulls
t approach
They downloaded a map from the USA using EVOMSIT software By some guy called Todd 2uccone
Won't go into the numbers but all I can say is wow totally transformed the car and I now feel 100% happy with the Porsche
So a big thanks to the guys at Regal

Ive quietly lusted after a t350 for years and tested quite a few of them. I'm also a very big Porsche fan.
However Im pretty sure that if id ever had the guts to drive a 350 the miles I like to do; going to a 911 turbo after would have seemed pretty tame, whatever you do to it. A 350 is just awesome.
I'm guessing you miss it.

Yep once you own any Tvr you cant help but miss them, but I don't miss the hassle and expense !
Google the guys name
Not going to post the results but there was big gains especially in the midrange And loads more torque
So either not that good or you're just not much of a team player ..... Google the guys name

Figures are not that important as every dynos reports Differently
What I will say is I got 80 +Lbs ft torque pretty much everywhere From the base map which is a huge difference
My t350 had 370 bhp @ the wheels and im sure the Porsche would clinically destroy it
But the 2 seater t350 was far more of an occasion to drive !
