Trying to get old service records
Discussion
A friend of mine has bought a 964 turbo S lightweight. He is in France but the car used to be in the Uk and was serviced at Porsche in Stratford.
Does anyone know how i would go about getting the old service info from 1999-2000 for him?
Is it only this dealer that would have the info?
I imagine they wont be very keen to help if i go in there!
Thanks,
Rohan

Hi Im in the middle of the same situation just say you are your friend and give the service dept the chassis number and they will have all details, they may ask you to scan or fax over V5 with a covering note and they can fax/email over, omly problem ive come accross is pre 2002 some of the opc had changed hands and all records lost even tried porsche gb they could only confirm build dates etc not who serviced it, good luck I must say that all the service staff i talked to (all thirty of them) where really helpful and it was no problem to look up data on there computer just avoid calling them in first thing and last thing as its there busiest period customers collecting and dropping off etc.
I got hold of some old service records by phoning around the dealer stamps. most were helpful and faxed/mailed photocopies over. One wouldn't quoting client confidentiality. Those that did usually crossed out the owner name and address. One OPC was acquired and computers changed and records only went back 5 years.
Good luck.
Good luck.
