So is it , This car's so good it'll sell itself, or just can't be bothered to fill out any background ?

Personally I'd like to see alot more detail, especially relevant with car of this age.

Mate, I reckon that is "I don't want to sell so please don't call me but my wife has told me the car must go" hehe

IMHO, if someone can't be ar**ed to write a more detailed advert (probably due to being lazy or having a lack of time or both) then I would ask myself what couldn't they be bothered to do regarding ownership and maintenance of the car.

A crap advert tells a far more in depth story.....

Thoroughly disagree. If you like the car, call and go see it. Much more tangible approach than internet masturbation.

Maybe the car has just come into stock and they haven't had time, I know if I am short on time I'll pop up an ad saying "more details to follow" until I get chance to write a proper one, a seriously interested party will always enquire in the meantime.

Without spoiling the original post there is a nicer 993 tt for sale in red arena, it is a bit expensive for a private sale

It doesn't look like a private sale...it is advertised as Sports and Classic selling it.

Sorry there was no link to my earlier post, here it is:

http://pistonheads.com/sales/3936875.htm

It is a beautiful car and seems to have been well maintained. It is a bit expensive though considering it is a private sale

My point was that I personally want to see a well written detailed advert before I view a car - I guess it's a bit of a 'first impressions count' thing.

This isn't really right is it? If you're going to travel a long way to view a car, you want as much information as possible in advance. Also, while some people are happy to ring on the basis of scant information, others will just move on. If you're selling a car, you waon't lose prospective buyers by telling them about it. You will lose some if you don't give detail.
