How long should the clutch servo assistance last after the engine is switched off?
Every morning I have no assistance until the engine is started, every thing else is fine all PAS and clutch fluids are level and no useage however there is a bit of misting around the clutch servo resivoir

Is this all normal?

No it is on the way out. I park mine up and still have a full pedal after a week or two later. Plus if you are seeing moisture then you have a problem. Get it fixed.

System should hold enough pressure for 30 odd presses after engine is switched off.
If the system loses the pressure too early your accumulator is likely faulty; if the reservoir under the front lid is overfilling (transferring fluid from PAS reservoir at rear) then the slave unit is faulty too.

Hi Pope
Thanks for the information any idea on prices part numbers and labour costs
is it worth changing the accumulator first and seeing if that cures the problem?

As mentioned, accumulator dead or dying.

I had mine replaced late last year. Same symptoms as you, heavy clutch without the engine on. Now it's replaced the car can sit for 2 weeks + unused, come back to it and clutch is still light, without the engine on.

Also replaced the slave cylinder as I had a very slight "fluttering" coming through the clutch pedal. I think parts were round about £400?

Had it done as a bit of a warranty argument, so didn't pay in the end.

Sorry missed this.

Think the accumulator sits on top of the gearbox? Bit of a b1tch to get too.

Although I could be wrong there.
