Car is on display by current owner. I was stalking this ST a few weeks ago and took some (rubbish) pics. Absolutely stunning. It's mint because I understand it to be a backdate / rebuild, I don't think it's an original but was commissioned by the current owner.

Agree, way to many.maybe so ... but people pay way more for 'lesser' cars with prancing horses on yellow backgrounds.
The period comparison car , a Dino , commands more money ... price driven by desirability rather then them being better ... just think early 911's are starting to become more desired around the world ( LHD are now worth more then the rarer RHD varients)

Believe me i love them but some on here wud agrue that that money for a Rep is way too muchThe period comparison car , a Dino , commands more money ... price driven by desirability rather then them being better ... just think early 911's are starting to become more desired around the world ( LHD are now worth more then the rarer RHD varients)
... too much for a rep .... I'd probo agree.
I was referring to the original spec cars like the 2.4S at the auction.
Interestingly, had a presentation on the weekend by the Classic Porsche department of Porsche. They were putting a value of around 150K euros for one of their factory restored 1973 2.4T's . They could only see values increasing. They were also saying the 924 had started to increase in value very slightly in europe too

I recon a well sorted 2.4 E is a good middle groundI was referring to the original spec cars like the 2.4S at the auction.

I think the yellow ST rep has been built with a lot of period, correct parts and this adds materially to the cost. The engine in particular has some very nice (and expensive) components like a £10k set of throttle bodies.
It looks a very nice car but agree with the general view that the asking price is hard to justify. Would be a shame to see the car stripped of some of it's parts to get the price downbut i suspect that is where this may go to realise the most proceeds.
The ST rep sold at the Milau auction looked very good.

Not sure how this 145k was arrived at. Labour and parts would probably have been around 50/60k (completely guessing) on top of the price of the original 2.4S, so about 80k I would have thought would be more realistic
when did you last check the price of a decent 2.4S...? Long time since they were £30k to fit your sumsIt's way beyond my means but I'm very glad there are customers out there commissioning builds like this, which I may actually see raced rather than originals being locked away in a collection
