..some of you will be relieved to hear!

my old 230,000 mile 944 Turbo is heading off to a new home this week, where she will have some love and attention and be turned into a stunning track car

To step into her not so dainty shoes my new 968 Sport arrived today; full factory MO30 spec and a mere 99,000 miles! In Guards red that is red, so will put a lot of effort into keeping her this way

Very nice Jeremy. Seeing them together the 968 does look a whole lot newer.
Black wheels are growing on me.

You have to say, even with design origins going back to the 1970's, these still look fabulous cars.

If you see a 928 alongside a Panamera, you do think that Porsche's "one shape fits all" philosophy is ill-judged.

But they make shed loads of profit, so what do I know.

Congrats, loving the 968. Would have been interesting if you had ran the 944 for another 70k. Anyway, enjoy the new motor.

Thanks all, I was sorely tempted to fix the oil leak and the couple of other issues that the 944 has and then see how far she went....but I was getting ear-ache about old/high mileage it was and then of course it did break down on me last week for the very first time, so TWG got to charge me £338 for fitting a new Crank Sensor!
But even my Wife had to admit (unprompted as well) what a good car the old girl has been, and that I have never had such a reliable car

I will miss the boost and the effortless progress that low-down grunt gives you, but I am sure I will enjoy the 968's solid chassis and revvy engine!
