Great. As soon I get the right Britax seat for my daughter she goes and grows so much in two months that she now needs just the base booster. Can anyone recommend a good one that (a) fits well and is safe, and (b) doesn't look terrible? ie I'm after a black/dark grey one preferably, and not the horror temporary one I've got in from Halfords. Cheers all.

OPC do one tailor made for the 997.2.

Well priced as well.

What's wrong with the halfords one?!

I've tried three different ones. The halfords one was the cheapest (under £10), most comfortable and best fitting. I would imagine your local OPC could supply one for several hundred pounds but why bother?

I got a polystyrene one from the charity shop for £3. It appears to have been tailor made for the 996.

Cheers all. Am sticking with the Halfords one as having tried a few it fits the best. It's also lighter. An important consideration if it's going to permanently live in the back. I reckon some of the heavier ones would kill those in the front seats if one braked hard without a child on board!

How old is she? Have you considered a "high back booster" These offer far greater protection.
