PTV - Anyone got it?

I've specced PTV on my Boxster 981 S (for the LSD) which should arrive towards the end of this month. I was curious if anyone had experience of it on Turbo or 991?
I've seen a few scare stories on forums saying it will "eat" brakes but I can't see how that would be the case. I understand that it gently applies the inside rear brake while cornering aggressively, which uses the LSD to send more torque to the outside wheel and increases the cornering force.
I would guess that you are unlikely to enter a corner aggressivley without braking heavily first and the additional brake wear from a gentle application of one rear brake would be minimal. Combine that with constant straight line braking in traffic and I can't see how additional brake wear would be more than a few percent, and obviously only the rear brakes.
Anyone with experience of PTV care to commment on it?
