Some w@nker has just reversed into the passenger side of my pride and joy (996TT) and then just buggered off!!! I always park miles anyway from anyone to avoid this type of thing.

Anyway it happened in local car park this AM, no one saw it and it was not covered by CCTV cameras. Therefore have now got to get rear panel repaired.

Any recommendations for a body work shop in surrey area? I am new to this area so don't know any. I am based in Guildford. Any suggestions very much appreciated.

Thanks

Bad luck - look in the Thames Valley section as there are plenty of recommendations there and a directory.

Check your insurance to see if you are covered for hit and run accidents like this. Some companies will not hit your NCB as it was not your fault.

Autocosmetics do good repairs. There just off the a3 southbound to portsmouth. Other than that i think premier panel skills are porsche approved repairers in farnham. Also bodytechnics are porsche approved but im not sure where they are, i think its slough.

...but it would still be classed as a claim.

So when he next gets asked "any claims or convictions in the last 5 years?"

Surprising. I've never come across this. I thought you culd only get non-fault if they had the other bugger to pin it on.

Especially if you decide to not claim under insurance, Andy can be very reasonable too.

Sorry to hear, but how do you know they reversed into your car?

Drive away is a bummer, my sons car after a bh virtually ran over it in her 4X4. A witness spotted her drive down a road to her house, with a bit of detective work we banged her to rights.

A twelve thousand pound take away !

I don't know about your part of the world but over here, hit and run will have you in court for even little things, something like that would almost certainly end up with a criminal record!!

Try GT One in Chertsey - they did a cracking job when I had a bump in my car. This was also a No Fault accident and my insurance premium only rose slightly the following year.

She got off completely without charge, not even breathalised , police said it was a nice house and we wouldn't have any trouble with the insurance. My son did say if he had hit her would they be so accommodating !

A good friend of mine runs a bodyshop in Fleet and has lots of experience on 996 and 997's. - JC Autobody

He's an independant so typically a lot cheaper than the big garages.

I've always had him work on my cars, and im particularly fussy when it comes to paint.

He's away on holiday at the moment, but back in a week. PM me if you want his details. Has'nt got a website as he gets his business purely from word of mouth referrals.

so it didn't occur to the police that nice house etc. does not confirm the integrity of a person given that she hit your son's car and then drove off?!!! Really glad you got her. Was she remotely apologetic or embarassed? I wonder if she would have been less likely to hit the car had she not been driving a (presumably large) 4x4.

Christ I forgot what a mess she made of that! Just glad I got her insurance to claim off, the police were appalling in pursuing her negligence, no breathalyser kit in two vehicles that arrived on scene, she had left the scence of a accident, and the dont worry son it wont affect your insurance speech of a policeman, I could go on but it makes me too angry !

Regarding a good recommendation for a repairer, I would take it to body technics Slough Porsche approved, I dealt with Gary. I remember a conversation with him on how I thought the car was written off? He assured me the car would be better than when it left the factory, yeah right! I was very pleased with the repair.

I feel your pain! worse when you can't claim of the third party's insurance.
