I quite fancy one I've seen somewhere, the one I have in mind isn't your beardy trainspotter dream car but is mechanically good and cosmetically superb. In fact since seeing it I can't get it out of my mind and I can see me and ms supermono flying about in it. But what'll it be like for mile munching? Dream or nightmare? The one I have in mind has a 3.0 engine

912e? That should have vw derived 2.0 engine. I had a 1966 912 for a couple of years, a much more interesting proposition if you ask me.

912e is a bit of a marmite car, infact pretty unloved, but as always, if the price is right and you like it, then go for it.

Is it green? I think it's sold.

Well to my mind this is a classic 911 look in the right colour that won't be a load of trouble, I'd just like to know if it drives well enough for a 250 mile romantic trip where I can pretend to be a like a 70s film star smile

Yes it's the green one -- I'm afraid it would disappear like a puff of smoke...

Shame if so.

Apparently to a 6'7 giant of a man-good job it was a no sunroof model!

Let's hope he posts on here smile

Just referred to the original thread. What a shame, I am genuinely disappointed smile

Good thing I've still got a garage full of GT2, I think I might just go out for a thrash to console myself.
